Are you looking for decking fitting in Morley, or the surrounding areas of
If so, then you have come to the right place. Later on this page I will recommend somewhere for you to purchase your decking from, at the right price, with great long lasting quality. If you would like to visit my own house, where I have fitted the decking in the pictures on this page, then you are more than welcome to do so. This decking was fitted in 2014, and as you will see when you visit, it has stood the test of time. I will recommend what preservatives to put onto it, and what NOT to put on to it.
So why choose Vince, the Morley Handyman for your Decking Fitting?
I don’t charge for materials with a surcharge on top. I simply recommend somewhere for you to purchase them yourself. Saving you any tradesman’s margins. I only charge an hourly rate see My Charges for further details.
So, where do I recommend?
Estate Sawmills in Bradford, is quite a drive from Morley, however, having used them for all my decking and fencing jobs over the years I have found them to have the best price to quality ratio in the area. I recommend visiting either early or late, because at busy times they really are busy. You can order online for delivery to Morley and the surrounding areas.
Looking after your deck
So many people have decking fitted and then don’t look after it properly. They treat it to a Ronseal water based so called preservative, and it does far from that. In fact, it actually helps it to rot in my opinion.
Every year at the easter holidays, I jet was the deck, then oil it with
decking oil. It gets into the wood and beads any water that is on the surface. Ronseal products I have used in the past are water based, so the water just soaks into the wood and promotes rotting.
You really need some furniture
Once you’ve got your deck finished, you really need some furniture.
